Nation Building Ideology

On a bigger long term scale, the world should come together and put an end to America’s “Nation Building” ideology. America has not even once, succeeded at toppling or overthrowing another government, where the end result had a better outcome.

Examples of this ideology of “nation-building” or rather, “government toppling” and wars and occupations, since the year 1900 are:

Crazy Snake Rebellion
(1909)
Border War
(1910–1919)
Negro Rebellion
(1912)
Occupation of Nicaragua
(1912–1933)
Bluff War
(1914–1915)
Occupation of Veracruz
(1914)
United States occupation of Haiti
(1915–1934)

(1966–1969)
Multinational Intervention in Lebanon
(1982–1984)

(1989–1990)

(1990–1991)
Iraqi No-Fly Zone Enforcement Operations
(1991–2003)
First U.S. Intervention in the Somali Civil War
(1992–1995)
Bosnian War
(1992–1995)
Intervention in Haiti
(1994–1995)
Kosovo War
(1998–1999)
War in Afghanistan
(2001–2021)
Iraq War
(2003–2011)
Second U.S. Intervention in the Somali Civil War
(2007–present)
Operation Ocean Shield
(2009–2016)
International intervention in Libya
(2011)

American-led intervention in Iraq

American-led intervention in Syria

And this is not even counting countries where American political sanctions overthrew governments, such as South Africa where they now have a Communist Government.

American sanctions are another way of warfare:

Sanctions imposed by the United States government include:

  • ban on arms-related exports
  • controls over dual-use technology exports
  • restrictions on economic assistance
  • financial restrictions:
    • requiring the United States to oppose loans by the World Bank and other international financial institutions
    • diplomatic immunity waived, to allow families of terrorist victims to file for civil damages in U.S. courts
    • tax credits for companies and individuals denied, for income earned in listed countries
    • duty-free goods exemption suspended for imports from those countries
    • authority to prohibit U.S. citizens from engaging in financial transactions with the government on the list, except by license from the U.S. government
    • prohibition of U.S. Defense Department contracts above $100,000 with companies controlled by countries on the list.

This is a troublesome picture and most readers of this article had no idea of the radical picture based on facts of America’s ongoing agenda. The consequences to world populations have been detrimental and very destructive. A new American ideology should be considered by the US State Department.

The US has gone from being noninterventionist to now having many hundreds of bases around the world and trying to give orders to every other country in the world. That kind of arrogance always ends badly.
